Our Founder

Daniel Olcsvary always knew he had a way with words since an early age. In junior high he would write action and horror stories for fun, and he had his first poem about racism published in the school newspaper. Around the same time Daniel fell in love with the hip hop culture and began penning rhymes and performing around the tri-state for the next 16 years. During that time he had the honor to share the stage with such rap legends as The Cella Dwellas, DJ Jazzy Joyce, Stretch & Bobbito and Fabolous.

After graduating from William Paterson University, Daniel entered the world of teaching. He has been an Early Childhood Educator for eighteen years, making a positive impact in his classroom on hundreds of students throughout that time. Known throughout the school as “Mr. O,” Daniel realized that inspiring the youth was part of his life’s mission.

Daniel has also spent the last twelve years in the behavioral field, providing in home services and developing positive coping strategies for children with different behavioral challenges.

Daniel is an avid reader and a life-long learner. He is interested in subjects like Mindfulness, Taoism and Positive Psychology. He spends his free time watching old school kung fu flicks, listening to golden-era hip hop, making his world famous guacamole and learning new things from his beautiful daughter Amilya.
